Western University of Health Sciences (WesternU) is a non-profit, private, graduate school for the health professions. Founded in 1977, the 8 colleges that comprise the campus are based in downtown Pomona, California, and provide masters and/or doctoral degrees in Osteopathic Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Allied Health, Graduate Nursing, Pharmacy, Optometry, Dental medicine, Podiatric Medicine, and Biomedical Sciences. WesternU provides health professions education to over 2600 graduate students and opened its first satellite campus in Lebanon, Oregon in Fall 2011.
